We have arranged for room blocks at discounted rates at some of the better hotels in the downtown Baltimore. There are rooms available at the hotel hosting the reception, as well as other properties. We highly encourage you to use the room blocks. Downtown Baltimore is approximately 10 miles from BWI Airport. Taxi service to the hotels is about $20. A rental car is not necessary. If you are planning on staying somewhere else, and are unfamiliar with downtown Baltimore, please e-mail us so we can make sure you are in a good area and convenient to the reception and wedding location! All of the hotels are approximately two and half miles from Saints Philip and James Roman Catholic Church. Room Block Locations:
Renaissance Harborplace Hotel - This is the site of the reception and will be the most convenient location. The room block has rooms for both Friday and Saturday night. The rate is $179.00 / night plus taxes and parking (if applicable). The room block at the Renaissance expires on Friday, August 13, 2004. Harborplace Hotel Web Site The Brookshire Suites is located less than two blocks from the Renaissance. See the map below. The hotel features both rooms standard rooms and suites, both including complimentary breakfast. The room block has rooms for both Friday and Saturday night. Suites Web Site The Tremont Plaza is six blocks from the Renaissance - approximately a 15 minute walk. While the harbor area of Baltimore is relatively safe, we'd recommend that you take a taxi between the properties, particularly in the evening. See the map below. The hotel is an all-suite property and was renovated in 2002. The suites typically include full kitchenettes. The room block has rooms for both Friday and Saturday night. You have multiple room options at the Tremont Plaza Hotel. Descriptions are available on the hotel web site.
